Well  my life has changed significantly since I last updated this page (see below).  I am still a woman in her 30′s (for a few more years anyway) and I am currently living in the UK, back at my folks place but this time with my partner and our newborn baby.  The running has gone down the pan but I intend on taking it back up again when my c-section scar has fully healed (in about 5 weeks or so maybe).  My yoga practice has been sporadic, and non-existent since the birth of my baby girl a few weeks ago.  In fact I haven’t read a book that was not about babies since she was born nearly 3 weeks ago, and that is not like me at all!

Old All about me 21 Dec 2006

I am a woman in her 30′s, living and working in Dublin, Ireland but I am originally from England. Currently I am working in the local hospital, saving money to go off travelling again.

I started (well one post) this blog back round Christmas not long after returning from my travels around South East Asia with the intention of writing about my life. Well my life was pretty dull so I ran out of things to say and as is often the case with New Year journals it didn’t last long.

I now have something to write about.

I took up running in April 2007 with the Couch to 5K running plan and currently are running about 12 miles per week and slowly increasing that. My reason for starting to run was to attempt to lose the weight that I had put on since returning to Europe (about 1 stone) and have so far nearly lost that, not with running alone, but it helps. I intend to carry on running after I have lost all the weight I want however as it makes me feel good and I enjoy it.

If anybody is interested I have a running log at runningahead.com , which I have been using since I started running so feel free to have a look and see what how I got to where I am now, which isn’t very far but sometimes it amazes me.

As for the rest, I am living with a lovely man who I met whilst travelling the last time and have been with for nearly two years, in fact I came to Dublin to be with him.

I also do yoga although not as frequently as I should but am seriously thinking of incorporating a yoga stretching routine into my after run stretches, or trying to make all my stretches yogic. If anybody has any ideas or resources in that direction please let me know.
